Majura Women’s Group Program
Providing opportunities for friendship and creative outlet for women with young children. Come along on Wednesdays during school term from 9.30am to 12:30. We meet at the Downer Community Centre. Childcare for children 9 months+ provided for a gold coin donation. New members are always welcome. Our activities are open to all mums with kids under 5 years of age. No bookings required, just show up!

Welcome back for term 3 everyone! Today Bree from Wattlebird Canberra will be teaching us how to make two decoupage placemats each of our very own creation to take home. Decoupage is the art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper cutouts onto it in combination with special paint effects, gold leaf and other decorative elements. Lets get those creative juices flowing!
Belinda from Body Intelligence is back to guide us though another fantastic Pilates session. Pop on your activewear and join us for this low-impact exercise activity.

Anne from Close to My Heart is back to do some fantabulously fun papercraft with us. Today we will be making "10 things I love about you" albums to gift to those special people in our lives. What a great idea with Fathers Day just around the corner!

Nicole Platt from Griffin Legal will be joining us today for a discussion on wills and estate planning, as we aim to demystify the topic and gain greater understanding of what is involved. Often a confronting thing to think about as parents, but also a very important one.
This week we welcome muliti-skilled artist Hangamaa Obaidullah to teach us embroidery. Hangama came to Canberra as a refugee from Afghanistan, and her work draws on her Afghani heritage, her homeland and its history.
Today we will be making felt flower broaches with Lynne Sanders from Canberra Region Feltmakers. Lynne has been a felt maker for over 20 years, and makes and sells beautiful felt scarves at the Old Canberra Bus Depot Markets.
UnFinished Objects! Bring along an activity from earlier in the year which you haven't finished, or anything crafty you are in the process of making at home that you want to work on. Don't have a project on the go? Help yourself to an activity from our cupboard.
