Terrariums
Time to get our hands dirty as we make our own terrariums with the help of Sue from Bunnings. Learn how to layer materials to build a home where your little plants will thrive as you watch them grow. All mums of kids aged 0-5 welcome.

Mixed Media Collage
Led by visual artist Michele England, create a mixed media still life using paint, print and paper. Participants will learn simple techniques based on relief printing, painting and collage to create their own artwork to take home. Michele is an artist whose work investigates issues regarding the environment in which we depend. Michele is intently interested in making works that engage your eyes, body and mind. Her artistic output is mostly paintings, textiles, printing or small sculpture. The paintings often use a collage aesthetic to combine imagery, painting techniques, pattern and forms. Michele also enjoys combining the practices of art and craft. This pursuit produces works that utilises craft techniques with everyday objects to make interesting metamorphoses and contextual changes to these objects. All mums of kids aged 0-5 welcome.

Basic Home Maintenance
Can we fix it? Yes we can! Today we are being visited by the Mobile Women's Shed. Learn how to use basic trade skils to fix those little jobs around the house that drive you crazy. Dripping taps, wonky cupboard doors and holey fly screens will soon be but a distant memory. All mums of kids aged 0-5 welcome.

It's comfy clothes this week as we experience Nia with Amanda. Nia is a unique movement practice that fuses the dance, martial and healing arts together to create a transformational experience. Flower arranging has been a popular request over the last few months, and we are so excited to finally make it happen thanks to Lauren and the team at Floral heads! This week we will be making floral box arrangements as we learn some basic flower arranging skills from the professionals. Learn how to transform basic bunches of flowers or blooms freshly picked from your garden into beautiful arrangements that breathe life into your home.

Winter Mending
Mending clothes can seem a chore but it can be fun when shared with others - and by using creative approaches.
In this session, we will draw on the Japanese boro technique to revive torn clothing and brighten our wardrobes in a sustainable fashion.
Bring along torn clothing, patches of fabric and scissors, needles and threads, if you have them. I will also have a collection of scrap fabric with me, as well as needles, threads and scissors. Monica Andrew is a PhD candidate at the University of Canberra, researching how public repair spaces contribute to clothing and textile sustainability. She runs a Repair Café on campus, drawing on her lifelong experiences in sewing and textile arts to help others and share repair skills, as well as volunteering at other Repair Cafés in Canberra. In her textile art practice, Monica engages with our broken fashion industry, turning clothing and textile waste into items of lasting relevance and beauty.

It's plastic free July! Today we are joined by Peter from the SEEchange waste-less group for an interactive discussion of ways we can reduce plastic waste in our everyday lives. We will also be running our quarterly kids item swap this session, so feel free to bring along any clothes, toys etc that your kids have outgrown, and swap them for something new-to-you! This week we welcome back award winning local milliner Christine Waring who will be teaching us to decorate our own felt cloche hats. Darn It! Darning can be relaxing and creative, as well as saving clothes from landfill. Monica Andrew will show you how to use this ancient technique to repair damaged socks and woollen garments.
