Majura Women’s Group Program
Providing opportunities for friendship and creative outlet for women with young children. Come along on Wednesdays during school term from 9.30am to 12:30. We meet at the Downer Community Centre. Childcare for children 9 months+ provided for a gold coin donation. New members are always welcome. Our activities are open to all mums with kids under 5 years of age. No bookings required, just show up!

Make mending Fun!
Mending clothes can seem a chore but it can be fun when shared with others - and by using creative approaches. In this session, we are joined by Monica Andrews who will teach us about clothing sustainablility and how to draw on the Japanese boro technique to revive torn clothing and brighten our wardrobes in a sustainable fashion. Monica is currently working on a PHD in clothing sustainablility, and runs the textiles section of the ANU repair cafe. Bring along torn clothing and patches of fabric if you have them.
