Committee
Being on the committee allows you an opportunity to participate in the running of the group and gain an array of skills that are applicable in the paid workforce, thereby keeping up a skill base whilst at home with children. It’s also a great way to meet and work together with a fabulous group of women and contribute back to the community via this very important Canberra women’s group. If you would like to get involved, have some great ideas or a bit of time to spare, we would love to hear from you!

They must estimate attendances for each session to ensure enough materials are provided, and to ensure our activity spend stays within budget averaged out over each term. For committee-run activities, they must also source materials and coordinate presentation of the activity. In the event of facilitator illness or schedule clashes, they must re-work the program on the fly to ensure a replacement activity is provided.
